Our philosophy is based on leaving behind traditional education and encourages constructivism, meaning students construct new understandings and knowledge through experience and discussions. Becoming a private institution that encourages constructivism, welcomes boys and girls, and is characterized by its creativity and innovation, the promotion of sports, culture, and arts, adequate use of technology, academic freedom, with no religious or political affiliation, that promotes the values of responsibility, loyalty, honesty, wisdom, dignity, respect for others and the environment, peace, etc. Our school rejects violence, authoritarianism, dogmatism, and the categorization of students about the learning outcome or isolated behavior. We teach respect and knowledge of all civilizations worldwide, mainly our roots, customs, and culture.
2009
Proeduca de la Marina A.C. is created by a group of businessmen and professionals who are advocates of creating innovative education environments for the community.
2010
In 2010 Proeduca de la Marina A.C. launches its main project, Colegio Rex Marina Mazatlán with an innovative infrastructure an a modern educational model.
2013
Colegio Rex ranked 1st in the ENLACE test within the schools in Mazatlán and 4th within the schools in the entire state of Sinaloa, this ranking is valid for 4 years.
2014
In 2013 a new project started developing in the city of Durango, and in January 2014 Colegio Rex Campus Durango began operations in Early Stimulation and Maternal. Later in August they started Preschool, Primary and Secondary.
2015
Colegio Rex Marina Mazatlán started delivering the Alberta, Canada curriculum in 2015 to its Kindergarten and Grade 1 classes, marking the beginning of the process of becoming an Accredited International Alberta School.
2018
After 3 years of hard work, Colegio Rex Marina Mazatlán obtained formal certification and became one of the 14 Accredited Alberta International Schools around the world. In addition, Colegio Rex Canadian School is the first Alberta International Accredited School to become a member of the Association of Independent Schools & Colleges in Alberta (AISCA). AISCA supports and encourages high standards of education in the independent schools and colleges of the Province of Alberta.
2020
We are now, in 2020-2021, a school that offers English Immersion classes from Pre-School to Grade 6 and we add a new grade every year. Children who attend this school complete the Mexican program of studies in Spanish so that when these students graduate they will attain certificates of graduation from both Mexico and Alberta, Canada. The pandemic that affected the world in early 2020 has made us evolve and adjust to the new needs and circumstances. Out teachers and students have mastered online learning proving that there are no excuses when there is determination and commitment.
2023
The school year 2023-2024, is a school that offers English Immersion classes from Pre-School to Grade 9, next year we will start our High School program. Children who attend this school complete the Mexican program of studies in Spanish so that when these students graduate they will attain certificates of graduation from both Mexico and Alberta, Canada.
